Our community health efforts are a collaborative endeavor involving local organizations, health professionals, and residents. By working hand-in-hand, we address key health challenges and implement effective solutions that improve the quality of life for all. Well Women
Omega Nu yearly donations for women’s health, pap smears, mammograms and other necessary gynecological and breast health exams/tests/imaging.
Legacy Health Endowment provides us with yearly funding to provide free health care to residents of 19 underserved zip codes in Merced and Stanislaus counties. This allows us to refer these specific patients to specialists as needed.
Diabetic Education Classes
We have a Certified Diabetes Care and Education specialist come give nutrition and education courses to our at-risk diabetic patients.
Preventative Health Maintenance Initiative
Local pre-med student volunteers came in and developed resources for both our Member Patients and non-member patients.
Mental Health
We refer our non-member patients to local organizations that provide low cost or free counseling services. See Community Programs for more information (Telecare, El Concilio, Center for Human Services, Sierra Vista).
Eye Care
We work with Stanislaus Vision Associates to provide comprehensive diabetic eye exams at a reasonable cost to our non-member patients.
We also refer patients to the Lions Eye Foundation for free exams or ophthalmologic surgeries.
Surgery
For our non-member patients we work with Cirugia Sin Fronteras in Bakersfield, a nonprofit medical corporation that provides low cost surgery options for low-income patients.
